A 20 Hz signal has only a 56 ft wavelength. There will be cancellation. To what level, that is only determined by real world listening. When I say cancellation, I mean if you would have a 90 dB response at 20 Hz in an anechoic chamber, and you only have an 87 dB response in car, you still have 3dB worth of cancellation. 3 dB is HUGE BTW. It is difficult to fully cancel a wave in a car, but I can tell you the reduction in sound quality and overall SPL will be significantly greater than a traditional setup. I know what I am talking about, and I would never design a system like that. No offense to michaelkih, it's just not my style. I am definitely more function over form.
